 We are a leading Kenyan Media, Marketing & Events Management firm based in Nairobi, looking for exceptionally experienced and creative persons to fill positions indicated below. Engagement will initially be for one year Contract.


  1. Head of Human Resource & Administration

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration or the equivalent
  • Five years work experience in HR/Administration
  • Exemplary, loving, Christian character to guide firm’s core values
  • Good knowledge of labor legislation
  • Excellent servant leadership, planning, organizing and communication skills
  • Dicreet and confidential with high level of integrity
  • Counselling experience a plus

Expectations:

  • Overseeing all personnel-related matters and administrative operations of the company
  • Serve as the personal assistant to the MD
  • Co ordinate activities in all departments
  • Age 40-45

  1. Head of Marketing & Customer Services

Minimum Requirements:

  • Basic Marketing or Economics degree
  • Minimum 10 years sales, marketing and customer service management experience
  • Great sense of creativity and entrepreneurship, preferably in the media industry
  • Must be in possession of a serviceable car
  • Aged 40-45

Expectations:

  1. Formulation and implementation of strategic marketing and sales plans.
  2. Identification, recruitment and training of sales and marketing staff
  3. Coordination and supervision of the sales and marketing staff
  4. Strengthen the company’s brands in the market
  5. Ensuring the achievement of set goals and targets of the sales and marketing team
  6. Maintain a good business relationship with customers.
  7. Generally provide marketing department leadership which reports to the MD.

 

  1. Regional Business Associates to be based in Eldoret, Kakamega, Kisii, Kisumu, Machakos, Meru, Mombasa, Nairobi and Nyeri.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Basic degree or Diploma
  • Minimum five years Sales and Marketing experience with great sense for creativity and entrepreneurship, preferably in the media industry
  • Must possess a motorcycle or car
  • Must be a resident of the Region applying for
  • Aged 30-40

Expectations:

  1. Sell press advertising for all ECL publications, fairs and digital platforms
  2. Pick appropriate advert material/artworks
  3. Open, stock and service ECL publications outlets in your Region
  4. Promote ECL and its products through various modes
  5. Meet weekly/monthly/annual sales goals.

 

  1. Editor

Minimum Requirements:

  • Basic Journalism/Communications degree
  • Minimum 10 years experience in writing and editing with a great nose for business governance and political news and features
  • Capable of single-handedly producing/supervising professional publications and magazines from sourcing and editing of news through layout to pre-press and production
  • Wide knowledge of Kenya with good business, governance and political contacts
  • Computer savvy
  • Possession of a car would be an added advantage
  • Aged 35-40

Expectations:

  1. Recruit and train skilled business, governance and political writers.
  2. Supervise the production of high quality publications and magazines.
  3. Identify supplements for various publications.
  4. Create and maintain contacts with other media organisations for press briefings/releases.
  5. Work with the Pre-press Manager to ensure quality publications.
  6. Generally provide Editorial department leadership which reports to the MD.

 

  1. Business & Political Writers to be based in Eldoret, Kakamega, Kisii, Kisumu, Machakos, Meru, Mombasa, Nakuru and Nyeri

Minimum Requirements:

  • Basic Journalism/Communications degree or diploma
  • Minimum five years experience of writing great business, governance and political news and features
  • Wide knowledge of Kenya with good business, governance and political contacts
  • Photographic skills will be an added advantage
  • Computer savvy
  • Aged 30-35

 Expectations:

  1. Sourcing and writing business, governance and political news and features for the company’s various publications and digital platforms
  2. Creating and writing supplements for the company’s diverse publications and digital platforms
  3. Attending media functions and conferences
  4. Taking pictures for news stories, features and supplements
  5. Any other relevant assignments given by the Editor or the management

 

In all these positions, the applicants who have Business, Medical, Education and Governance backgrounds will have added advantage.

 

  1. Remunerations
